Update

As you can see, the Lord has been working in the hearts of friends and family and has raised over $3,000 in just a few weeks! We are almost half way there!

We are so grateful to all of you who have responded and shown your love and care for our family.

One of the biggest challenges for me is to completely trust in His provision. We are facing due dates for the finances, yet...God! Every time we face another due date - should I be surprised? - He provides!

This past week we had a need for $500 to be paid by a specific date and I was fretting about it, but I really needed to turn it over into His hands. Would you believe? Our church put out a call for a special offering for our family and we were given $673 - $173 more than we needed. It was in hand the day before the due date!

He is good always and I know that part of what He is teaching me in all of this is to trust Him with the details. I would much prefer Him to have miraculously provided all the money up front...but where is the deep faith in that? It seems He would rather show me all the way that He is providing as we need it, when we need it...and guess what? He is never late!

Thank you again. I hope to get individual notes out to each one of you, but in case I don't please know that from the depths, we are forever grateful for the Body, for all of you, even those of you we don't know! And WOW! There are so many of you we don't know...you were told about us and you don't even know us yet, are supporting us! Thank you.

Blessings,
Trish for all of us.

PS. Want to see another picture of our cutie? Isn't this a funny picture?!? What a look!

A Precious Gift from the Lord

We have a new blessing!

We are home.
Our newest little one was born on Saturday Nov. 28th.
A bundle of blue...HE is beautiful.

We still have a long way to go with this adoption, but for now, we are home and taking it one day at a time. Continuing to trust God's provision for every need to fall into place.

Our Latest Adoption Journey

Behold, children are a gift of the LORD
Psalm 126:3

Hello. If you have made it this far, chances are likely that you know something about us, but in case you don't, we'd like to share a little bit about our family with you.

We began our adoption journey 8 years ago. Well, really longer than that, but we actually got in contact with an agency and started the process towards officially adopting then. So far we have been through three adoptions. Two that were successful and one that wasn't. Two private and one through the foster system.

We are Tony, Trish, Little Miss, and Little Buddy. We love children. We had always hoped for a large family, well, Tony did, Trish has come around. Our children have been praying for about 6 months now, asking God for another brother or sister. If you asked Little Miss what she thinks, she’s 5, she will first tell you that having a brother is a blessing. And then the reason she wants more brothers and sisters “because they would be fun to play with”. Little Buddy, he’s 4, keeps telling us he needs a brother because he has a sister already.

A family member connected us recently, telling us of someone she knew that was pregnant and had a family back out on adopting her baby. She was at a loss as to what to do. She desperately wants a loving family for her baby, since she is not in a position to take care of him. So we got in touch with her and she has asked us to adopt her baby. We were not planning on another private adoption at this point in our lives, but the Lord has placed this situation in front of us and we have stepped out in faith and are moving towards adopting again. She is already past her due date, so we will be having a new little one very, very soon.

Adoption is a wonderful way to build a family, but it is not an inexpensive venture. Our adoption expenses including document preparation, hiring of professionals, legal fees, and more will cost in excess of $8,000. Honestly, these fees are very low because we came to our agency with a birthmom match. Typical costs are upwards of $20,000. We praise God for His provision in this area.

We have paid a beginning portion of the amount and are excited to see how God will provide the remainder.

We had a discussion with a friend about an idea that we have had about how we are going to raise the money. Well, in all honesty we are expecting a miracle.

But practically speaking, we know that people want to help, but never seem to know how to. Thousands of dollars seem out of reach, but $10 is fairly easy to contribute. If 500 people donated $10, we’d have $5,000 of the amount needed. If 100 people donated $20 we’d have $2,000. That is part of the purpose of this blog. Friends and family wanted to help, but didn’t know where to send money to, or wanted a simple way to send some money.

If you feel so led, you may click on the donation button on the side bar and donate through our paypal account. If you are interested in sending a check instead, please send a note via e-mail and we can get you an address.

Would you prayerfully consider our family in your giving? We are excited about what God is going to do in our lives through this child. Thank you in advance for your prayers and support. May the Lord bless you.

Please email us at tonytrishclan@gmail.com with any questions you may have regarding our situation. We are happy to talk about this wonderful adventure.
