Sponsorship and Adoption Costs

Update: We are currently waiting to go to court, for Little Man to be legally ours. It should be coming up soon.

While we have most of the money raised for this adoption, we are going to leave this site up and would like to keep fund-raising for our next adoption...which is sometime in the future, in our time line, another year or so.

In God's timing who knows. Little Man was dropped in our laps when we were not actively trying to adopt. So, God may have another one in the nearer future for us, we always stand waiting to see what He will do.

Either way, our hope is to keep adopting, even though we are can not actively pursuing another adoption right at this time (gotta go to court first). If in the event that we do not adopt again, please be assured that this money will be given to someone else who is adopting.

I also wanted to let you know another way that you can help us raise adoption costs, besides the direct donations that you have been sending through paypal.

You can visit our sponsors and make a purchase either here or over on our family blog. In this case, it is a win-win situation for you and us.

We receive compensation from each company when you purchase items from them. So, if you are already planning on making purchases for books, gifts, homeschool curriculum, etc. please  this in mind. It just requires a click-thru from you and that's all.

A Thousand Thank Yous

Dear All ~
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your gifts.

One day I will send you each a thank you in the mail...for those of you we know about...but until I get there, please accept this huge thank you from all of us!

God's people stepping up, giving to a family that most of you don't even know ...wow! Should I be surprised? Probably not, but I am!

Thank you. We'll try to keep you updated on where things are regarding the adoption. Right now we just wait...and see what God will do.

Update 2

Our little blessing - three months

 

It has been a little while since I have updated you all on the progress of our adoption fundraising.

God graciously provided us with our funds and a few weeks back we paid the agency in full. Or so we thought.

They came back with another $1100 in fees that they claim we still owe them. Money has been allocated to things we didn't agree to pay and the details are much too arduous to get into here. We have been round and round with the head of the agency and after seeking wise counsel we have decided that there is no option but to pay the fees in order to get the adoption finalized.

It has been a very difficult month for us; we have been hurt by what has happened. We hired these people to do a job for us and they have been lying and cheating us.

If you would please be praying for us as we continue to move forward. There are still some hoops that we need to face and we are trusting that God will grant us favor and will allow this adoption to be finalized soon.

We can not believe that many, many strangers have blessed our family with gifts of abundance.
